    Frequently Asked Questions

    Drivers

Anyone over 18 who has a current valid driver’s license (which we’ll verify during your account creation process) is eligible to create an account on drivefool.

Once your application to join drivefool has been accepted, you can submit proposals to employers right away. However, you’ll stand a better chance at getting hired if you begin by completing your driver profile, including your skills and qualifications. A complete profile will greatly increase your likelihood of receiving messages from employers.

To perform a job search, start by navigating to Find Work or Job Search. Just type a basic keyword search in the box or click the Advanced Search link for more options. You can use the filters on the left side of the search results page to fine-tune your job search results even further.

Start by clicking the submit a proposal button on the job post page. Set the price you want to bid for the job, as well as your schedule. Write a brief  introductory Cover Letter to the prospective employer, and answer any screening questions they’ve included in the job post. Then click the Submit button to send your proposal to the employer. That’s all there is to it!

You’ll negotiate payment terms with each employer on a job-by-job basis. Some employers may pay you a 50% deposit up front, and 50% upon completion of the job, while others may pay only after the job is finished. In either case, the cost of the job will be held in a private escrow account by drivefool and will be released when the employer approves payment. Payments will always be processed through drivefool (never directly with the employer) We support most major digital payment platforms for payouts.

Getting started on drivefool is simple, posting a job is free, and the average time to fill a driver post on drivefool is just 2 to 3 days. Start by filling out your company name, tagline, description, and website URL, if applicable. Then add and verify your billing method, and you’re ready to begin posting jobs.

To post your job, go to Jobs > Post a Job. We will ask you a series of questions to help make sure the right professionals see your job post. If you’d like to add further information later, you can always come back and edit your job post whenever you like.

Once you start receiving proposals from drivers, look through each driver’s job bid and availability, and respond to prospective hires with a short introductory message. You can also search for qualified drivers through our Search page. We recommend conducting an interview via chat or email, or even scheduling a Zoom call to get to know an applicant before you make a hiring decision.

To hire a driver, go to the Jobs page, click on the job posting you want to hire for, select the driver you want to hire, and click the Hire Driver button. Then double-check the details of the offer and click Send Offer. That’s all there is to it!

To hire and pay a driver on drivefool, you’ll need to deposit the total cost of your job into an escrow account. This money will be held by drivefool until you agree to release it to the driver. You may want to release 50% of the payment as a deposit, and 50% upon completion of the job — or, if you prefer to release the full payment after completion, you’ll have that option as well.

To cancel an active job posting, go to Jobs, and find the job you’ve posted. Then click “Cancel” at the top-right corner. Your job will be canceled instantly, and any money you’ve deposited in escrow will be refunded to your account within 3 to 5 business days.
