Yes, you’ll need a valid driver’s license from one of the countries where we do business. You’ll be required to provide and verify your license during the account creation process.
We accept all major credit cards, as well as PayPal. All payments are processed through our escrow system (see “escrow” below), and drivers receive payments through this site.
Yes, you can cancel your account any time you like, by navigating to your Account Settings and selecting “Cancel My Account.”
Our driving jobs are sorted into the following categories: Pharmacy, City to City, Rides, Alcohol, Airport, Retail, Pets, Packages, Groceries, and Restaurants.
To post your job, go to Jobs > Post a Job. We will ask you a series of questions to help make sure the right professionals see your job post. Don’t worry, you don’t need to have all the answers and can always edit your job post later.
First, you’ll review proposals from qualified drivers. You’ll be able to interview and negotiate with as many applicants as you like, until you find the one who’s perfect for your job. Drivers may send job bids, which you’re free to accept or decline — or make a counteroffer if you prefer. Once you’ve found the right driver, you can accept their offer, and you’ll be in business!
In order to hire on drivefool, you’ll need to deposit the total cost of your job into an escrow account. This money will be held by drivefool until you agree to release it to the driver. You may want to release 50% of the payment as a deposit, and 50% upon completion of the job — or, if you prefer to release the full payment after completion, you’ll have that option as well.
To cancel an active job posting, go to Jobs, and find the job you’ve posted. Then click “Cancel” at the top-right corner. Your job will be canceled instantly, and any money you’ve deposited in escrow will be refunded to your account within 3 to 5 business days.
The drivefool service fee applies to all of your hours, milestones, projects, and bonuses. It includes all projects, including hourly rates, Project Catalog, and fixed-price projects. This sliding fee is based on your total lifetime billings with each client. Fees range from 5% to 20%, and you are eligible for lower fees as you earn more from the client.
You can see your fee breakdown in your Transactions and Earnings Reports.
The drivefool fee structure is applied to your earnings and depends on the total earnings from each client:
- $0–$500 in earnings: 20% service fee
- $500.01–$10,000 in earnings: 10% service fee
- $10,000.01 or more in earnings: 5% service fee
Remember that fees are specific to your earnings from each client. Even if you’ve earned enough from one client to be eligible for a lower fee, you will be charged 20% for a new client until your earnings from that new client reach the next threshold.
At drivefool, we make our fees as affordable as possible, especially given the convenience of in-platform payment processing and access to a wide range of jobs and clients. If you want lower fees, consider bidding on projects with a higher budget, or choose clients looking to establish long-term relationships with drivers.
